Our Story

A Legacy of Learning in Southern Punjab

Government Graduate College Muzaffargarh is one of the oldest institutions of higher learning in Southern Punjab, located on Multan Road at a distance of two kilometres from the city centre. Since the establishment of its Department of Mathematics in 1953, the college has grown into a leading academic destination of the region.

The campus comprises four academic blocks named in honour of historical luminaries — Sir Syed Block, Jinnah Block, Allama Iqbal Block and Ibn-e-Seena Block — each fostering a conducive environment for learning. Key facilities include the Multipurpose Hall, Pakistan Hall, the Old Hostel and a New Academic Block, supported by the Quaid-e-Azam Library with its rich collection of around thirty thousand books.

Today the college serves over 5,500 students across 19 academic departments. Programs include 10 BS degrees and a B.Ed affiliated with Ghazi University, Dera Ghazi Khan, plus Intermediate streams (F.Sc Pre-Medical, F.Sc Pre-Engineering, I.C.S, F.A and General Science) affiliated with the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dera Ghazi Khan.

Modern laboratories for Zoology, Botany, Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Information Technology, along with green spaces such as the Cactus Corner, Oxygen Park and a serene waterfall, make GGC Muzaffargarh a place where tradition meets modernity.
